Yes, we do. Pricing for bar packages is based on a five-hour event duration, including wine service at the bars. Our house wines are good quality simple country wines chosen by our owner, Jon Weinrott. They include a white Argentinian Torrontes (dry and floral) and a red Argentinian Malbec (earthy and forward-fruit). Jon has extensive knowledge about wines and craft beers so if you’d like to know more about other options, please ask us. Wine service at the tables is available at additional cost—contact us for pricing.
No. One of the amazing benefits of hosting an event at POMME is that we are commercially zoned and have no curfews or noise restrictions of any kind.
Yes we do, both inside and outside
Outside, you can have your ceremony near the pond, or near the stream. The chairs can be laid out in various ways. Chair rental for outdoor ceremonies is additional cost.
Inside, the chairs can also be laid out in various ways- facing the fireplace or the window . We use chiavari chairs, and ‘turn the room over’ after guests go downstairs for cocktails.

POMME is the French word for apple! It’s pronounced “PUM.” You might also recognize the word from pomme frites, because pomme de terre means apple of the earth.
Yes, we have an amazing bridal suite! The owner, Lloyd Goodman, converted a wine cellar designed by his father (Lloyd and his father built the racquet club together) into this lovely bridal suite complete with a lounge area, private restroom, a room specifically designed for make-up and hair, and another for changing. The suite has a private entrance. You can see pictures of the suite in our photo galleries.
All vendors unfamiliar with our venue (those who have never worked at POMME before) should set up a time (with advance notice, please!) during normal business hours (9 to 5) to visit us and learn about the venue – the electric hook-ups, the layout, the load-in, treatment of floors and walls etc. Two other important things:
- All vendors must provide us with a copy of their Certificate of Insurance.
- All deliveries and pickups must be scheduled ahead, and approved by us.
Please drop all items off the day before your event. Remember to mark all of your items clearly, and specify if anything is valuable and should be kept under lock and key. We try our best to keep track of your personal items, but please understand that there is a certain risk involved in bringing family heirlooms to a public space and we cannot be held accountable for items missing. So if that Kiddush cup is irreplaceable, perhaps it’s best to leave it at home!
Yes there are! We are happy to tell you the tried and true classics, if you’d rather simplify the process. As caterers for foodies, we are pleased to offer options, as we have lots of experience with different styles and genres of cooking, and love to create new dishes
We suggest you read through our Peachtree menu packet and highlight items that interest you. If you are someone who prefers to communicate by email, feel free to send us that highlighted list, which we will use to draft a menu. If you prefer to discuss the menu in person, we’re happy to meet you in person. Our chef is always available to answer more specific questions.
Let us know your expectations and your price point. If you would like to stay within the Left Bank packet, we’ll make every effort to substitute items to your liking, while keeping this in mind. Or we can suggest and price out optional items, either from the packet, from our repertoire, or from your own suggestions.
Be sure to also let us know if there are any food allergies (nuts, gluten, latex) and ingredients to avoid, or other important food preparation guidelines
Finally, the tasting will enable you to sample your selections, and to try other dishes as well. Step by step, the menu takes shape, as you go through the process of selection and tasting, until finally you have a delicious menu that perfectly suits your taste.
Yes, our managers have gone through RAMP (Responsible Alcohol Management Program) certification and are trained in how to detect and handle signs of intoxication, and to guard against the serving of minors.
Gratuity is entirely at the client’s discretion. There is not an additional service charge. Of course if you feel you would like to tip additionally, our staff are always appreciative!
Yes, we have venue fees with varying rates based upon the year, the season and the day of the week. Please consult your pricing worksheet to view the different fees.
POMME can host up to 200 guests with a large dance floor, and 225 for a cocktail reception.
If you opt for a ceremony such that we need to ‘turn the room over’ for the reception, there is an additional fee. This ceremony charge enables us to hire extra staff to assist with the transition so that we don’t pull service staff from the event when they are needed to butler hors d’oeuvres and service the bar. The charge varies depending on number of tables and intensity of décor, but typically we can hire three extra people at a rate of $150 each to get the job done. These staff can also double as coat check/restroom attendants for the rest of the evening.
For rehearsals, we typically allot an hour to rehearse at no additional charge, within normal hours of operation. We ask only that you not cause a disturbance to our event set-up or leave us with much clean-up. If you have a large bridal party and think they might cause such a disturbance, and/or you require more than an hour (from arrival to departure, punctually), please let us know so that we can be prepared, and perhaps arrange an additional fee to cover such a situation.
Our PEACHTREE packet, which will be sent to you upon inquiry, is an edited sampling of some of signature menus, based upon the seasons. It includes sit-down, stations and buffet menus, all priced at the same price point. The offerings are based upon one hour of cocktails, and is based upon a pre-selected entree or a duet plate. These menus are meant to serve as samples, and of course we are more than happy to offer options to you. For example, perhaps you like a spring menu, but prefer the dessert that appears on a winter menu. We can adjust. Or perhaps you want to mix and match from all the menus to create your own. We will guide you through the process, and let you know if certain items, when substituted, will involve an additional charge. Note that our signature lists are comprehensive. Items (some indicated with asterisks) are at additional cost- – such as lobster, homemade pastas, extra courses and entrees selected tableside. Menu items are not priced a la carte simply because so much depends on the context. For example, if you opt for 4 stations rather than one, each station will be discounted to reflect the overall quantity of offerings.
Tell us about your bar packets. Are there different tiers of service? If so, can I upgrade some liquors but not all?
Yes, we have three tiers of bar service offered- deluxe, premium and super-premium- at varying price points. Consult your pricing worksheet for more details on the specific offerings.
Many clients opt to offer bottle service by consumption for a few upgrades on certain brand names, while choosing the deluxe packet. You know your guests better than we do. If you feel that your guests will drink only Grey Goose. Jack Daniels and Patron, then you might be best served by upgrading to the appropriate tier. We can guide you on this decision.
We highly recommend attendants, so that the service staff can focus on their serving tasks job rather than being taken away from an event to attend to the above. In colder weather, one attendant can perform both duties of coat check and bathroom attendance. If you have a ceremony on-site, the assistants are included and also help to set up and break down the chairs.
No, we host only one party at a time. Nobody else uses the space when you have it reserved.
Can you provide wedding or bar/bat mitzvah cakes? Could we have one in lieu of the desserts on the Left Bank Menu?
PEACHTREE’s signature home-made desserts are plated, butlered or station-style items. You’re welcome to bring in your own cake, and we don’t charge a cake-cutting fee! We can serve the cake at a buffet, tableside, or butlered to your guests. We’re happy to pack slices for you, if you provide us with the bags. Cakes range widely in price— $3 to $10 per person, depending upon the style and complexity. There are some wonderful bakeries in the vicinity. Please ask us for more information about cake vendors.
Our Peachtree packet includes tables (rounds and longs) and linens (many colors to choose from, always floor-length) for a standard set-up. This would include bar, buffet and place card tables, some cocktail and hi-top tables, and round banquet tables seating 10 guests.
Items at additional cost would be overlays or specialty linens, unusual tables such as square, 42” wide rectangular, specialty head tables, tables with risers, vendor tables– as the tables themselves need to be rented additionally, and the linens are oftentimes more costly as they are larger.
If you are interested in seeing more linens, or specialty items like layplates, glassware etc, we can discuss and order-in samples.
We do our best to accommodate all clients, family and friends coming into our space. Please try to schedule the below during normal business hours of operation, or ask us in advance if you need to schedule after-hours.
Some clients request to use the space the day before for set-up. If there is nothing going on in the space the day before, sometimes we are able to allow you to come in early to set-up. Please ask us well in advance.
Hosts and family members can arrive early ‘day of’ with approval from the POMME sales team.
The PEACHTREE menus are based upon pre-selected entrées. Just to explain, a pre-selected entrée means that you will include something on your invitation enabling guests to pre-select from two options (I.E, Fish, Chicken, Beef, or Vegetarian). When you have collected your RSVP’S, you will need to provide us with this count. It’s also important that you include this information on your table cards. These markers can be different colors (Red – meat, Blue – fish, Green – vegetarian) or symbols. We are happy to talk you through this.
If the entrée choice is not pre-selected, the other options are to either provide one entrée to your guests or to opt for tableside choice of entrée, which is additional. The charge for table choice of entrée depends on the selection but the minimal charge is $15/per person since we need to purchase at least 30% more food.
Do I have a choice of the beers offered in the bar packet? Can I substitute other types of beer? Do you offer craft beers?
Beer is very ‘in’ right now. For those with specific tastes (you love Bud Light and can’t stand Stella), and for the many who love the IPAs and Philadelphia craft beers, we’re happy to switch up the beer menu. Keep in mind that some of the craft beers, while a wonderful addition, might have more impact when featured in the cocktail hour only. After a certain number of beers, sometimes a lighter-style and simpler beer is best as the night wears on.
Yes. POMME has the advantage of allowing your guests to enjoy the outdoors for cocktails, yet the comfort of a fully climate-controlled indoor reception area.
For weddings, oftentimes guests arrive early so they can be on time for the ceremony. If possible, we recommend that you provide some sort of beverage service for them, because many times they ask for something cold (or hot), and we don’t want to be inhospitable! This can be as simple as bottles of water. Or we can offer lemonade/iced tea if the weather is hot, or hot cider, etc. if the weather is cold. Please ask us for pricing on these items.
We can provide vendor meals at a cost of $25—for your band, DJ, photographer etc, with advance notice of how many you will need.
Absolutely! We love to create menus specifically designed for your taste and your particular event. We are often asked to replicate dishes from favorite restaurants, or bake a family heirloom recipe. Sometimes clients wish to draw from some of the Peachtree packet offerings and then substitute certain custom dishes. Others ask us to cust0m-design a menu just for them. Let us know your preferences and your budget, and we will present you with options.
The ratio of ALL staff– including event supervisors, captains and kitchen crew–equals one staff-person per ten guests. Our PEACHTREE service staffing ratio is based upon one server per 18 guests and one bartender per fifty guests. If you have added items to your food or bar menu, we will let you know if we feel that you require some extra service staff. In the bigger picture, sometimes this small addition of staff is an important part of the success of your event!
All events are based on a five- hour duration—which means from the time guests arrive until they depart. If overtime occurs, we bill overtime charges for the staff for our staff (including the kitchen and facilities staff). Depending upon your guest count, staffing costs tend to average $400 to $500 per half-hour of overtime. Experience shows that on-site ceremonies tend to incur one-half hour of overtime. Please note that this does not include additional services such as late night bar, staffing for wine service, etc.
The deposit is $5000, payable by check or credit card.
We’re happy to place a date on a soft-hold for you once you have toured the venue. This means that you have first-dibs on the space for your preferred date. If another client is very interested in that date, we notify you immediately so that you can confirm reservation of the date.
Yes, we have an elevator on-site to access the two floors as well as the outdoor area. The elevator entrance is accessed via the Racquet Club entry.
When you book an event at POMME, there are many services provided to you. We can do floor plans and timelines, and assist you with ceremonies. However, wedding planners are advisable if you have a complicated event with many moving parts, if you are from out of town and find planning very challenging from a long-distance, or even if you have ceremonies off-site. Of course, planners can be hired for a range of options, with services for day-of only, or for full-service. For the latter, these planners would be there to assist you from start to finish, helping you select invitations, bridesmaid’s dresses, tabletop and florals and so on.
We love wine, and our owner Jon Weinrott has spent a lifetime studying and tasting wines from small producers and from small vintages. The wines featured on our list are not just the same-old, same-old house wines, but are hand-picked and of great quality. Ask your salesperson for more specific information, as the offerings, while consistent in quality, might shift to reflect great ‘finds.’ Our house wines at this moment are Argentinian — a Torrontes and a Malbec.
Yes, accommodating up to 90 cars. Valet is also available upon request.
Yes, it is important that kids have supervision on-site at POMME, for many reasons. Kids have been known wander outside. As the pond is on the lower level, we are vigilant about little children wandering near the swans, in or around the pond, which is deep. With mitzvah gatherings, when there are a large number of children, rambunctious behavior is a natural thing! And last, as a RAMP-certified organization, we chaperone kids of a certain age to assure that they are drinking soft beverages only, and not hard liquor or wine.
You may schedule a tasting at any time up to two months prior to your event, allowing us enough time to pull together a finalized menu. We schedule tastings on weekday evenings once every two months.
We offer tastings in groups. They are held on-site at POMME. You may bring up to four guests at no cost, and more at a cost of $125 per additional guest. We feel that group tastings offer a great way of sampling a variety of our foods composed by our chef, while mingling with other Peachtree clients, and sharing stories. We create a menu based on menu choices of all attending. We often include some of our favorites.
If you have your heart set on an individualized tasting, this can be arranged at additional cost, should your work schedule or geographic location make it difficult for you to attend a mid-week tasting, or if for any reason group tastings are not to your liking.
The Peachtree packet is based upon drink service at the bars, not tableside. Tableside wine service is at additional cost for two reasons. First, more wine is consumed when offered tableside than when served at the bar only. Second, tableside wine service requires additional servers to pour the wine tableside. We do not permit guests to bring bottles to the tables and pour for themselves, since as a RAMP certified establishment we need to control the dispensing of alcoholic beverages. Also, such self-service invariably results in even higher consumption, as guests will pour more liberally than wine servers.
If you opt for tableside wine service, we bill by consumption, per bottle. We can provide you with an estimate, based on experience, of the number of bottles typically consumed at an event. You yourself, of course, know the habits of your guests better than we do. Sometimes at a wedding, the family will opt for wine service only at tables for parents of the bride and their friends, since the younger generation actually prefer to go to the bars, as a social meeting place.
We do have kids menus, yes, and at a price point much lower than for adult fare. Much depends on the age of the children, and their personal tastes. Some kids are more adventuresome than others, so we offer the classics such as chicken nuggets, sliders, mac n’ cheese, Chinese noodles and so forth (all prepared in the Peachtree style, of course). Others are slightly more sophisticated, and want to try something a little more gourmet.
Do let us know the age of the children, because a four year old will eat a vastly different style and quantity of food than a fifteen year old. Also let us know if your younger guests will be seated at tables alongside the adults (with full place setting and service staff requirements), or whether they will be eating on their mom’s lap, as this affects the pricing of the kid’s package.
PEACHTREE & WARD, the parent company of POMME, has exclusivity for catering. We have been catering off-premise events for over 30 years, and serve delicious food! We use fresh ingredients and design menus suited to the season and event. From sliders to poached lobster-we do it all. Our Peachtree Kosher division handles all Kosher events. Please inquire further about preferred vendors for specialized catering services—Indian, Korean, Glatt Kosher.
Yes, we have a full-service kitchen on the main reception floor, and a separate kitchen for hors d’oeuvres service on the lower level. Mise-en-place is completed prior to your event, with all hors d’oeuvres and entrees heated or cooked ‘a la minute.’ Salads are dressed just prior to serving, and meats, fish or chicken are cooked to temperature right on-site, also just prior to serving. Unless of course they are braised dishes which call for slow-cooking.
Menu cards are a lovely and useful addition at the table. Even if you are having a stations party, a copy of the menu at the bar and at each station helps guests understand how the evening will unfold, and what they will be served. We’re happy to help you with the wording on your menu cards Please allow at least ten days before the deadline!
Yes, we do. We own 200 walnut chiavari chairs, 20 60” round tables (seats 10 people) and 20 banquet tables (8’ x 30 inches). We also own 6 36” round low cocktail tables, and 6 high-tops as well as wrought iron tables/chairs for outdoor use. If you prefer to use square tables, or rent a different chair, we can give you quotes for this as well.
We do not own chairs for outdoor ceremonies, but can arrange for chair rental (white wood, brown wood, etc.). Please call us to ask for pricing.
Our branch patterned drape is included in your rental. We can also arrange for other draping, should you require this.
